Even though it's now the day after Christmas, there's a blizzard outside and everyone is pretty much stuck inside. So I figured it wouldn't be too late to post some more amazing Christmas light photos and videos. Most of these are from previous years and some you may have seen by now, but still, they are fantastic.
The Christmas illuminations found in Japan never disappoint.

80's Cartoons are THE BEST - Part 2, Other Awesomely Awesome Ones
Hello!! To anyone actually reading this silly girly blog, it has been over a year since I last posted. I sorta gave it up; I've never been good at the whole consistent diary writing sort of thing and so it's not surprising that I wasn't consistent with this, I suppose. But then again, this is more about me rambling and listing random frilly funny shit. Lists...I like lists. That's really what this is.
This next one will take you back. DuckTales. I used to watch this cartoon every day after school. It's not particularly girly, but I always loved the money bin....haha!
And now for some Earth - Fire - Wind - Water - Heart...GOOOOO PLANET!
When people first saw Who Framed Roger Rabbit, every girl wanted to be Jessica Rabbit (and their boyfriends wanted to be with her). Or maybe every girl just wanted to own her dress! Let's see if we can find a good homemade version...
hehe...maybe not.
But anyway, now I'm back with renewed energy and spirit for cats and glittery things! As promised, and long overdue, here is Part 2 of my favorite 80's girly cartoons. Some aren't really even that girly, but they are memorable and fun and I'm a girl...so that's the explanation you'll get. Ha!
Ok, let's start this off right with POPPLES. YES...that's right, Popples. Those creepy furry alien transformable cartoon/toys that plunge their entire bodies into a potato sack made from their own butt skin. What a weird concept that was. But I sure did love them! (Although I always struggled to successfully convert them from a full-bodied creature to a compacted popple...I guess I was a weak little kid.)

Best...Shoes...Ever....
And then there's Muppet Babies. Waka waka waka....Fozzie Bear is the best.
I couldn't have a list of great 80's cartoons without mentioning Scooby Doo. I used to watch this at 5am before school. Yeah. You heard me. I liked cartoons. I was a weird kid. Who didn't sleep apparently.
...and for all you crazy kids who enjoy recreational bouncing, enjoy:
Of course, there are sooooooo many more that I could name. The Jetsons, Beetlejuice, Paddington Bear, Smurfs....but I'll leave you with this one:

80's Cartoons are THE BEST - Part 1, The Super-Ultra-Truly-Truly-Outrageous Girly Ones
Is it just me, or does everyone who grew up in the 80's find themselves relishing those simpler times...when tv shows depicted corny school topics and wholesome family situations, when some pop musicians could actually sing and love songs weren't all about shakin' booty, and when florescent sweatpants were cool to wear outside of the gym? I know I do...but one of my favorite things that I miss about the 80's are, without a doubt, the cartoons. And in this first part, I will talk about the girliest of the girly 80's cartoons.
First, I think most girls will agree that JEM and the Holograms was the best cartoon EVER MADE.
It was about a girl who, if alive, would have been a style icon, and was leading a double life as a rock star in a band. Everything in it was pink, sparkly, and ultra girly. Basically it's the Hannah Montana of the 80's.
Such Great Heights
Then we have my second favorite...Rainbow Brite. It's a sickeningly sweet colorful feast of rainbows...what's not to like?
I have always wanted to be Rainbow Brite for Halloween...
...but this one's a little skanklicious for my taste.

This one is much better. And you gotta love the wig!

And what about CareBears?? I used to sometimes wake up at 5am on school days to watch it on my 13 inch Toshiba with wood panels. Oh yes. That's how much I liked CareBears. But I didn't always wake up in time...I'm not a freak.
See? Even guys like Care Bears. or at least they do when there's a beer-in-hand.
by Ricardo.Martins
And then there's My Little Pony. I didn't watch it as much as some people did, but I can appreciate the girly appeal. More pink and purple and sparkles and rainbows.
Now, I think it's pretty obvious that I like girly things and I like talking about girly things. But even I have my limits...and I think I'm starting to understand why I didn't watch My Little Pony. I was scared my bedroom would end up like this...
by goldberg
I like girly CHIC not girly FREAK.
But anyway...did you think I'd forget about Strawberry Shortcake?? I LOVE Strawberry Shortcake. Maybe it's just because I'm such a foodie and love desserts....because I actually didn't watch this show so much either. But I adore the character. I was going to link to the original opening, but I just couldn't resist posting this new Spanish version (tee hee)...
i-love-cartoons.com
And there's one final ultra-girly one I like....but it's not very well known. It's called Rose Petal Place. And it was a cartoon movie and there was a book too...but I don't know about a tv show. They may have made a series out of it...I'm not sure...I was kid...cut me some slack, here. But anyway...it was great. There were these flower people and each character was a different beautiful flower and they each had a diamond on them or something...
Ok so I don't remember it that well...but I swear...it was AWESOME.

Why Cat Toys Are Awesome
Hi there. It has been a while since my last post, and I figured it's time for a post geared more towards CATS! - in particular, their toys.
Cat toys are the BEST! Why? Because they are glittery and sparkly, really colorful and shiny, and often have feathers. Some are plush and fuzzy and some have leopard or other animal prints. Some have bells and rattles. Some toys even get your cat high - and who wouldn't want to see that? I'm sure most cat owners reading this are thinking..."yeah yeah...I've heard all of this before..." That may be true, but I suspect that some of following cute, funny, wacky, and weird cat toys will spark the interest of even the most knowledgeable of cat owners! For example...
Is your cat always hungry? Does your cat love fish? Then maybe these toys are the answer...
Gotta love the sushi....it looks good enough to eat!

This Hello Kitty costume set is rather humiliating...but nevertheless adorable!!

...and what would all the fashionista kitties do without some "Chewy Vuitton" hand bags? Very cute. (For dog lovers, they also have Dolce & Grrbana zebra shoe chew toys.)

For your proud male dominant cats, I give you...Cat Engine and Cat Tank!

And these are just plain weird...
(Sigh)...Japanese toys. For every 5 that are cute, there is at least one that is truly creepy. I'm not really sure what that lever is for. And it leaves one to wonder why someone would think a cat would want to play with an amputated arm.

And for this?....There are no words.

Finally, for the tech-savvy cat...
Looks like the LG EnV 2.
